German eyewear specialist Rodenstock has launched refreshed eyewear lines for 2022 that focus on technical details and innovative technologies.
The new collections follow the theme of ‘Engineered Purism’. These are the Essentials, New Heritage and Lite Tec lines. The collections will be launched in global travel retail throughout 2022.
The Sun Concept is the standout line of the Essentials collection. The Sun Concept features designs for both men and women and combines Rodenstock’s two core competencies, the high quality Sun Protect lenses and minimalist frames.

The two women’s models feature a butterfly shape with a two-tone slightly transparent acetate rim. The two men’s models feature rivets and a metal bridge. All four designs have been equipped with Sun Protect lenses that offer UV400 protection and shield the eyes against harmful rays.
The New Heritage range celebrates Rodenstock’s 140-year eyewear history and know-how, while the Lite Tec line is made with reduced materials, offering enhanced lightness and technical performance.

Rodenstock Director Global Retail and International Key Accounts Eyewear Director Lucas Gestin commented: “These new collections highlight the technical expertise and innovation which are the heart of Rodenstock. From exceptional modern concepts, through timeless styles, to minimalist designs delivering technical excellence, these collections offer something to inspire every travelling shopper.
“The sunglasses category is poised to be at the heart of travel retail’s recovery; shoppers associate this sector with the travel environment more than almost any other. But to capitalise on that, we need new, exciting and engaging designs and we are delighted to showcase the best of Rodenstock’s expertise with these new releases.”
