Estée Lauder has introduced The Metallics, its new Fall make-up collection. The limited -edition line features liquid-like eye shadows, vinyl lip lacquers and chromatic nail shades, to combine reflective finishes with multi-dimensional colour. It is rolling out into travel retail worldwide from this month; shades vary according to location.
The collection was devised by Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux, who explained: “When it comes to colour, there are no limits. I like to have freedom. Metallic makeup does that.”

A highlight of the line is the new Pure Color Instant Intense EyeShadow Trios. The creamy formula transforms from a soft powder to a liquid-like texture to deliver brilliant colour that stays true for 10 hours, without creasing or fading, according to the brand. It can be applied wet or dry for a variety of finishes. Each trio contains a base, contour and highlighter.
New for lips is Pure Color High Intensity Lip Lacquer, said to combine the creamy coverage of a lipstick with the high shine of a gloss. The formula features Estée Lauder’s True Visionâ„¢ Technology, in addition to multi-functional polymers which seal in moisture and lock in colour for six hours’ wear.
The Lip Lacquer incorporates a paddle applicator with a bell curve design that dips in the centre, creating a reservoir effect to release the perfect amount of lacquer to lips.
Completing the collection is Estée Lauder’s new limited-edition Pure Color Vivid Shine Nail Lacquer. The palette features metallic shades from dusty rose gold to smoky deep platinum, all with a brushed, reflective finish.
