Extime extends airport hospitality ecosystem with Air France Paris Stopover programme

FRANCE. Air France and Groupe ADP’s Extime Travel have launched a new stopover programme that enables connecting passengers at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to extend their journey and explore Paris and the surrounding region.

Extime Travel is a specialised tour operator and a central part of the broader Extime hospitality ecosystem, which includes operating luxurious passenger lounges, retail spaces and food & beverage venues within Paris airports.

The new Paris Stopover offer is available from today (22 July) and targets the approximately 50% of Air France customers transiting through the carrier’s Paris Charles de Gaulle hub before connecting to another destination.

Customers can add a stopover of one to four nights when booking their Air France flight and purchase an integrated package from Extime Travel covering transfers, accommodation and curated tourism experiences.

According to Air France and Groupe ADP, Paris Charles de Gaulle becomes the first major European hub to offer a dedicated tourism product designed specifically for connecting passengers

The service is available on both outbound and return journeys and can be booked up to 48 hours before departure, subject to availability.

The initiative forms part of the ‘Connect France’ strategic partnership signed by Air France-KLM and Groupe ADP in June 2025, which aims to strengthen the appeal of the Air France hub at Paris Charles de Gaulle while leveraging France’s position as a world-leading tourism destination.

The launch is underpinned by research from Pégase Chair published in April which found that 81% of passengers connecting in Paris would be somewhat or very interested in leaving the airport to explore Paris or attractions close to Charles de Gaulle Airport during their layover.

Interest rises to 92.3% among Brazilian travellers and 90% among Indian travellers, following the removal of France’s airport transit visa requirement for Indian nationals in April.

Extime Travel has developed a portfolio of experiences that includes a ‘Paris Must-See’ package featuring landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum, alongside a Disneyland Paris option aimed at families.

The company said the portfolio will be expanded to include premium, cultural, gastronomic and entertainment-focused experiences.

Packages include transfers, one or more nights in selected four- or five-star hotels in central Paris or at Disneyland Paris, together with flexible sightseeing options tailored to the passenger’s available time and preferences.

The offer is available to eligible Air France passengers travelling in all cabin classes, including Economy, Premium, Business and La Première.

Eligibility requires an Air France booking that includes the Stopover option and a minimum connection time of 27 hours.
