ITALY. Ferrari Trento and Areas MyChef have opened a high-class new restaurant at Rome Fiumicino Airport, strengthening their long-standing partnership with a premium food & beverage concept in the airport’s non-Schengen Terminal 3.
Located on the first floor food court above the luxury retail area, the 70-seat venue offers table service only and combines Ferrari Trento’s Trentodoc sparkling wines with an Italian dining concept developed for international travellers.

The opening marks the return of the Ferrari Spazio Bollicine concept to Fiumicino following redevelopment work at the airport. The original location debuted in 2013 before the concept expanded to Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate airports.
The menu has been created by Michelin-starred Locanda Margon Chef Edoardo Fumagalli and Areas MyChef Executive Chef Michelangelo Citino, with breakfast offerings developed by renowned pastry chef Iginio Massari.
Guests can sample Ferrari Trento’s range of Trentodoc sparkling wines by the glass, including reserve labels, while the brand’s principal expressions are also available for take-away purchase.

The drinks offer is complemented by wines from Tenute Lunelli, Segnana grappas, Tassoni soft drinks and cocktails, alongside a rotating selection of Italian wines.
Among the signature menu items is Fumagalli’s Tegamini range of focaccias, featuring ingredients including Pecorino Romano DOP, Porchetta di Ariccia IGP and Roman artichokes.

The breads are presented on bespoke soapstone and brass serving plates created by Trentino artisan company Navarini 1958 to retain warmth.
The venue has been designed around Ferrari Trento’s black-and-white brand identity and includes an open kitchen overlooking the dining area.

Ferrari Trento President and CEO Matteo Lunelli said: “The Ferrari Spazio Bollicine at Fiumicino aims to offer new ways to experience Ferrari Trentodoc sparkling wines and transform the wait at the airport into a gourmet break that showcases the beauty and excellence of our country.
“Being present in such a globally important hub allows us to connect with millions of travellers from around the world, offering them an experience of our mountain bubbles that reflects the Italian art of living.”
Areas Italia CEO Sergio Castelli commented, “We are pleased to continue our collaboration with the Lunelli family and Ferrari Trento, a partner with whom we have built a solid partnership over the years, founded on shared values, mutual trust, and the desire to seize new development opportunities.
“The opening of this new store, and our return, to Fiumicino Airport represents a milestone, confirming the quality of our joint work and the ability of our partnership to successfully evolve.
“Being present at one of Europe’s most important airport hubs means strengthening our presence in an international and excellent context, offering millions of travellers an experience that lives up to their expectations.
“This new project is the result of a shared vision and a collaboration that continues to generate value for both companies.”
Aeroporti di Roma Chief Commercial Officer Marilena Blasi added, “Ferrari Spazio Bollicine embodies Italian excellence: a distinctive format that combines fine wines, signature cuisine, and high-end hospitality.
“With this opening, we further enhance Leonardo da Vinci’s premium offering, confirming our commitment to promoting Made in Italy and offering passengers an increasingly distinctive travel experience.”
