LATIN AMERICA. As part of an organisational change in the Latin American sales team, US accessories specialist Cross has promoted David Ferreira to Manager, Travel Retail Americas, effective immediately.

Ferreira, who formerly held the title of Travel Retail Manager – Latin America & Caribbean, will report to General Manager Latin America, Canada & Travel Retail Americas Lianne Portuondo Diaz.
In a 22 July memo announcing Ferreira’s promotion, Diaz said that the changes were made to better support the company’s sales efforts in the Americas travel retail channel.
“David has spent the last year building our travel retail business in Latin America and the Caribbean and has established presence and growth in the core channel,” Diaz said. “Given his experience and success in Latin America, I am happy he can now take on the additional task of developing positive sales growth for the North America travel retail territory.”
In addition, Diaz announced that from 16 June, Ana Maria Lopez had joined the Cross LA Team as Account Executive, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. She reports directly to Ferreira.
Based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Lopez will be responsible for developing the Cross business in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic for both local market and duty free. She will be working closely with Cross’s current retail base to further develop the relationships as well as identifying new opportunities and expanding distribution. In addition, Lopez is responsible for ensuring the brand message is delivered consistently across all channels.
Lopez previously held roles at Elizabeth Arden and Pepsico (Frito Lay), gaining consumer products-related experience in the travel retail and local market channels. She has a Bachelor Degree from the Emerson College in Boston.
