Festina unveils fantasy Dream campaign at Cannes exhibition

Festina’s Tour of Britain watch pictured in the new Dream campaign

Watch brand Festina unveiled its Dream campaign inspired by fantasy destinations at the TFWA World Exhibition in October 2012.

The Spanish company’s exhibition stand featured large visuals of the campaign, “allowing us to wander away into more exotic dreamscapes where imagery is inspired by the realm of fantasy”.

Festina’s new women’s models are presented as part of this world, “where we are taken to different horizons with uniquely designed timepieces flowing through the passage of time”, the company said.

Among the new products is the first oversize women’s chronograph model, which Festina describes as a fashionable alternative to the smaller steel watches widely available on the market. The watch comes with a discreet bezel of cubic zircons set in a stainless steel, nickel-free case and on a white calf leather strap.

Following the success of Festina’s Ladies Ceramic Collection, which is described as both innovative and fashionable, a men’s ceramic chronograph has been launched.

This trendy chronograph has an extra-large 46mm ceramic bezel as well as ceramic inserts in the stainless steel bracelet.

With a centre second hand 1/1 second chronograph movement, this ceramic timepiece also has 24 hour and calendar functions. To keep up with the fashion trends, this model comes in black, blue and white.

Other new models in the Ceramic Collection feature ceramic combined with stainless steel.

20th anniversary as Tour de France Official Time Keeper

To coincide with its 20th anniversary as Official Time Keeper of the Tour de France cycling event, Festina introduced the Chrono Bike 2012 edition.

The Limited Edition Black Chrono Bike model features high-specification black PVD coating, a sapphire glass for maximum resistance, and is presented in a luxury presentation case.

The Chrono Bike 2012 watch was also launched in green, to celebrate the success of the points leader, who traditionally wears a green jersey. The company also introduced a yellow dial Chrono Bike chronograph to celebrate the yellow jersey being held by a British rider.

In other news, as the Official Timer of the Tour of Britain cycling event, Festina launched the Tour of Britain Chronograph watch.

The sporty chronograph watch is made of solid stainless steel and is available in four colours on a stainless steel or rubber bracelet.

The company hailed the success of the British riders in the September race. Jonathan Tiernan Locke won the Tour of Britain 2012 and Mark Cavendish won the Guildford stage.

Barcelona-based Festina is the Official Timekeeper of the Tour of Britain, Tour de France, Vuelta a España, the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de Suisse.
