US. Finlandia Vodka will be rolling out the latest addition to the brand’s flavoured vodka portfolio – Finlandia Tangerine Fusion – exclusively in the international duty free and the US domestic market later this summer.
The tangerine was selected as the ingredient for the new flavour because it is slightly sweeter than an orange and delivers “a powerful citrus zest”, the company said.
Brown-Forman Managing Director for Travel Retail Jim Perry added: “Tangerines are unassuming yet bold, like Finlandia vodka. It is time we brought together the world’s finest vodka with one of the world’s most delicious fruits.”
The company said it felt that the Finlandia Tangerine Fusion can rival one of its most successful flavoured vodkas to date – the Finlandia Grapefruit Fusion which was launched in 2006.
The Finlandia Grapefruit Fusion has won many accolades including a double-gold at the San Francisco Spirits competition and the only ‘Master’ award in the flavoured vodka category at the 2008 Vodka Masters Competition.

Perry said: “Finlandia sets the global standard in the flavoured vodka category by providing nature’s freshest and finest fruit flavours. We have outpaced the growth in the flavour category nearly three to one and feel that Tangerine will further solidify our position in the category.”
The company recommends that Finlandia Tangerine Fusion be served on the rocks or using one of the following cocktail recipes by Tony Abou-Ganim, the Modern Mixologist:

1 oz. fresh lemon juice
1 oz. grapefruit juice

Garnish with zest of lemon

1/2 oz. Cointreau
1 oz. fresh lemon sour
1 1/2 oz. fresh orange juice
1 1/2 oz. POM Wonderful pomegranate juice
Cocktail glass
Garnish slices of lemon and zest of orange

1/2 oz. Cointreau
1/2 oz. Campari
