SRI LANKA. Flemingo today signed its duty free contract at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
The contract was signed by Flemingo Managing Director Mahendra Thakar and BIA Chairman Prasanna Wickramasuriya.
As revealed by The Moodie Report, Flemingo has been awarded a 50% share of the duty free spoils at the airport, with the former exclusive incumbent Orient Lanka (Aldeasa) set to be awarded the balance.

The concessions will run for five years.
It is likely that Aldeasa and Flemingo will share space equally, each running 300sq m of space split between Departures and Arrivals. The targeted start-up date for the new concessions is August.
The Moodie Report understands that a revenue share model (plus space rent) is likely to be implemented.
