Baltona has built a healthy business at Lviv Airport despite the major challenges of operating in UkraineUKRAINE. Baltona Duty Free, a division of Flemingo International, has renewed its retail concession at Lviv Airport for a further three years.
The business began trading in May 2012 for the UEFA European Football Championships and was upgraded in 2013. The concession is exclusive to Baltona and the store is a multi-category operation spread over 500 sq m. It serves around 600,000 international passengers a year.
Baltona Duty Free said it had created “a world class duty free shopping experience” at the location. The store forms one element in an airport expansion project that includes a 34,000sq m terminal, which is capable of handling up to ten million passengers annually.
The Lviv mult-category store sells an extensive range of products categories, from imported and local liquor to a wide selection of fragrances & cosmetics (with savings of around -20% against the local market), tobacco, fashion and travel accessories, watches and jewellery.
The retailer has also created a Regionals zone for Ukrainian products. Passengers will find local brands including Lviv Chocolate Factory, Lvivska Horilka, Hlebniy Dar and Roshen.

Baltona Duty Free said that the business was “built on operational excellence and access to premium brands”. The company manages over 50 travel retail, food & drinks and convenience outlets in 15 European countries.
