Foreo and FAQ mark Chinese New Year with festive pop-up at Hainan Tourism Duty Free Shopping Complex

The gift of good skin: Foreo and FAQ are celebrating Lunar New Year with a gifting range at the new pop-up unit

CHINA. Swedish beauty tech and wellbeing house Foreo and sister brand FAQ have unveiled a pop-up at the Hainan Tourism Duty Free Shopping Complex in Sanya, ahead of the peak Chinese New Year shopping period.

The pop-up is located on the first floor and will run until March. Hainan Tourism Duty Free Shopping Complex, which recently celebrated its first anniversary, is operated by licence holder Hainan Tourism Investment Duty Free Co. (HTDF) with support from Lagardère Travel Retail.

Both brands have launched special sets to welcome the Year of the Tiger. These include the Picture Perfect Luna 3 + Serum Serum Serum Set, Candy Collection Luna Mini 2 in Lollipop Pink, Marshmallow Lavender Set and the Issa Beauty Detour. Other travel retail-exclusives include the Here & There Set, Luna Mini 2 in Pearl Pink Set, Bear 2021 Spring Limited Edition Set and the FAQ 103 Diamond Set.

The activation has been described as a “one-stop home spa experiential zone”, and offers a full skincare routine using Foreo and FAQ products from cleansing to hydrating and lifting. In addition, all shoppers can participate in a lucky draw and win prizes with any purchase.

Foreo’s Luna range is in the spotlight with a particular focus on the Luna 3 and Luna 2 devices. Foreo’s microcurrent facial-toning device Bear and FAQ’s 103 Diamond Set are the focus for effective lifting and contouring of skin at home. The FAQ 100 range, comprising the FAQ 101, 102 and 103 devices, leverage cryotherapy and thermotherapy alongside electric muscle stimulation, T-sonic pulsations and LED light to offer professional anti-aging at tome.

The FAQ 103 Diamond Set offers a more luxurious anti-aging experience, said the brand owner. The device is adorned with diamonds and effectively minimises pores, removes wrinkles, firms the skin and contours the face. All FAQ devices have been equipped with anti-shock technology to offer safe anti-aging treatments.

Foreo and HTDF have become close partners since the opening of the Hainan Tourism Duty Free Shopping Complex last year. Foreo launched limited edition, travel retail-exclusive sets for its Bear and Luna Play Plus lines at the complex, while FAQ launched its entire range there in May 2021.

Covering 95,000sq m, the Hainan Tourism Duty Free Shopping Complex houses almost 350 global brands across categories, including Hublot, TAG Heuer, Gucci Beauty, Sensai, Lancôme, La Mer and many others. Recent new boutique additions include Dior, FitChan, MLB, Jimmy Choo and other leading international brands.
