Gentrack agrees to acquire non-aeronautical software company CA Plus

NEW ZEALAND. Gentrack, which develops and implements specialist software for airports, has agreed to acquire CA Plus, developers of non-aeronautical airport revenue management software solution Concessionaire Analyzer+ (CA+).

Gentrack will acquire 75% of CA Plus from Shireburn Co with a three year performance based price for the remaining 25%. The deal is subject to certain final conditions, but a closing date of 30 April has been targeted.

CA Plus will be integrated into Gentrack’s airport division, which also includes airport operations software suite Airport 20/20 and Blip Systems, the Denmark-based company which offers passenger flow, queue prediction and capacity forecasting software. Gentrack also agreed to acquire a 79.81% majority share in Blip Systems this week.

CA+ comprises a modular solution for airport concession management including the management of contracts, property and utilities, as well as revenue calculation and billing, through an online portal. CA+ also enables airports to automate many of the processes that are today done manually, such as collecting sales data from concessions for analysis in the CA+ BI Portal.

Gentrack is listed on the New Zealand and Australian Stock Exchanges.

“The combined Airport 20/20 and CA+ product offering is well positioned for global growth, capitalising on the increasing need for airports to grow their non-aeronautical business – a revenue stream that accounts for a large percentage of airport profitability and on which airports continue to rely heavily in order to run their operations,” said CA Plus CEO John de Giorgio.
