Gordon Ramsay’s Plane Food T5 restaurant caters for travellers with new menu

UK. Gordon Ramsay Plane Food, the acclaimed London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 restaurant run by Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay, has launched a picnic menu for time-conscious passengers.

All of the offering can be taken onboard or enjoyed in the restaurant, and passengers can choose from Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or Children’s picnics. The service starts this month.

BAA Head of Category for Food and Beverage Catherine Peachey said: “The Plane Food picnic is a unique and inspired service, and we are excited that this will be exclusive for Terminal 5. Teamed with Gordon Ramsay’s signature menu, this will add to the vast array of delicious food and beverage outlets offering innovative concepts to passengers travelling through the terminal this year.”

Gordon Ramsay commented: “Time is important, especially when it comes to travelling, so I was eager to devise a menu that passengers with less time could also enjoy. Picnics are a great way to bring back the romantic side of travelling and reflect one of English’s best-loved traditions.”

The carefully chosen picnics will include some of the restaurant’s signature dishes offering passengers with little time to spare the opportunity to sample the Plane Food menu at their own leisure.

Picnic options include:

  • Watermelon and Feta Salad with Pumpkin Seeds and Rocket
  • Smoked Salmon Croque Monsieur with Apple and Celery
  • San Daniele Ham with Marinated Figs and Balsamic Dressing
  • Caesar Salad with Bacon and Boiled Hen’s Egg
  • Chocolate Brownies with Clotted Cream
  • Pear Cheesecake Tart

Breakfast picnics will consist of Fresh Fruit Salad and Vanilla Yoghurt and a selection of Mini Pastries, while lunch picnics will include Watermelon and Feta Salad with Pumpkin Seeds and Rocket, Smoked Salmon Croque Monsieur with Apple and Celery, and Chocolate Brownies with Clotted Cream. Dinner picnics will include Caesar Salad, a dish of San Daniele Ham with Marinated Figs and Balsamic Dressing, followed by a Cheese Selection with Quince and Biscuits.

Children will also have a dedicated menu featuring a Caesar Salad with Bacon and Boiled Hen’s Egg, Fresh Fruit Salad with Vanilla Yoghurt, and Pear Cheesecake Tart.
