GRU Airport and Dufry reveal luxury line-up for São Paulo T3

BRAZIL. GRU Airport and Dufry are to open 15 luxury brand boutiques when São Paulo Guarulhos International Airport’s Terminal 3 opens in May.

GRU Avenue, as the 1,414sq m area is known, forms a key airside element in the 192,000sq m T3.

The Dufry-managed precinct will be the first time that an area exclusively for foreign brand boutiques will appear at a Brazilian airport. Brands represented are:

1. Salvatore Ferragamo
2. Emporio Armani
3. Tory Burch
4. Armani Jeans
5. Lacoste
6. Diesel
7. Desigual
8. Tommy Hilfiger
9. GAP
10. MAC
11. Burberry
12. Victoria’s Secret
13. Michael Kors
14. Hugo Boss
15. Coach

“Here the passenger has already entered into a travel environment, as if they were in a major avenue in New York or a European capital,” GRU Airport’s Commercial Director Fernando Sellos told The Moodie Report.

Guarulhos T3 will be the first Brazilian airport terminal to host an airside boutique zone dedicated to international luxury brands

Dedicated to international flights, T3 represents a step forward from the traditional focus on landside business in Brazilian airports, with almost three-quarters of its commercial space being located airside.

As reported, Dufry will manage the brand boutiques as well as all duty free retailing in T3.

“Terminal 3 was designed to permit a new experience to passengers, who will be able to begin their travel experience already in the Departures area,” Sellos told The Moodie Report.

A full report on GRU Airport’s commercial plans for T3 will be published in The Moodie Report March Print Edition in coming days.
