Guerlain firms up its anti-ageing offer – 29/12/04

FRANCE. Guerlain has extended its Issima Success anti-ageing range with a new collection that focuses on firming.

Success Model Ultra Firming will begin rolling out in January 2005.

The line comprises three products: a day cream, a night cream, and a serum. It works by toning the skin’s elastic mesh, according to Guerlain, which helps to combat the effects of slackened facial muscles.

The cornerstone of the new collection is the ITF (Isometric Tensile Factor) Ultra Firming Complex. This contains various plant-based and biotechnological substances which help to increase the firming action of cells. It is also said to protect elastin fibres and stimulate the production of collagen.

Unwanted wrinkles are also targeted via the ingredient Liftine, which features in Guerlain’s SuccessLaser range.

The product line-up includes Success Model Day Care SPF12 Ultra Firming, in two versions: a 30ml and 50ml pot. The recommended French domestic prices are €70 and €100, respectively.

Success Model Revitalising Night Care Ultra Firming is also available as a 30ml and 50ml, priced at €95 and €130, respectively.

Lastly, there is Success Model Lifting Serum Ultra Firming, presented in a 30ml pump dispenser and priced domestically at about €100.

Guerlain has devised a series of “Facial Gymnastics” to accompany the launch of Success Model. These are described as energising yet gentle massage techniques, which target six support areas of the face.

They should be practised after applying Success Model products.

In other news, Guerlain has revamped its entire Issima range with new packaging colours. Different shades of blue will now denote different product functions, to simplify the line.

Accordingly, the packaging for Success Model is Cerulean Blue. Issima SuccessLaser will henceforth sport Lagoon Blue packaging, while Indigo Blue is the shade of choice for Substantific.
