Sol de Janeiro broadens portfolio with solid fragrances and hydration-focused Cheirosa launches

Sol de Janeiro’s latest launches encourage travellers to explore the brand’s fragrance-layering philosophy through complementary bodycare and scent rituals

L’OCCITANE Group has launched Sol de Janeiro’s first-ever solid fragrance format alongside new discovery and hydration-focused products inspired by its signature Cheirosa scent collection.

The latest additions include Jelly Perfume Balm, the Hydrating Jet Set travel collection and new extensions to the Body Badalada Lotion range. The launches reinforce Sol de Janeiro’s strategy of combining body care, fragrance and sensorial experiences to drive engagement and discovery.

Jelly Perfume Balm

Sol de Janeiro has entered the solid fragrance category with Jelly Perfume Balm

The Jelly Perfume Balm marks Sol de Janeiro’s first solid scent format. The alcohol-free balm was developed as an on-the-go fragrance solution, offering a concentrated scent experience in a portable twist-up stick that lasts up to ten hours.

It is made with premium fragrance oils and melts seamlessly into the skin. Each Jelly Perfume Balm delivers up to 1,000 swipes.

The launch builds on the success of the brand’s Cheirosa fragrance collection, which takes its name from the Brazilian expression meaning ‘to smell delicious’. Each scent is identified by a number linked to a mood, cultural reference or defining moment.

Three of the brand’s best-selling fragrances are now available as Jelly Perfume Balms: Cheirosa 62, Cheirosa 68 and Cheirosa 04.

Cheirosa 62 features pistachio, salted caramel and vanilla notes, while Cheirosa 68 combines Brazilian jasmine, pink dragon fruit and ocean air. Cheirosa 40 offers a richer profile with notes of black amber plum, jasmine blooms and vanilla woods.

The Jelly Perfume Balm collection rolled out in travel retail with a dedicated pop-up campaign and visibility drive from March through May. It is now available across all Sol de Janeiro locations in travel retail.

Hydrating Jet Set

Sol de Janeiro has also unveiled the new Hydrating Jet Set, a travel-focused discovery collection which showcases the brand’s fragrance-layering philosophy.

The set includes the Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist, Brazilian Kiss Cupuaçu Lip Butter and Body Badalada Vitamin-Infused Lotion in travel-friendly formats.

Body Badalada expansion

Sol de Janeiro has extended the Body Badalada franchise with three new lotion variants. Each is designed to deliver a different hydration experience while incorporating signature Cheirosa fragrances. The extension is rooted in the brand’s Sol + Science philosophy, which transforms daily body care with a sensorial touch.

  • Body Badalada Skin Refresh Water Lotion in Cheirosa 48 offers a lightweight formula designed to provide instant hydration and a fresh, dewy finish.
  • Body Badalada Moisture Melting Lotion in Cheirosa 39 offers a richer texture focused on long-lasting hydration and moisture barrier support.
  • The limited-edition Body Badalada Daily Glow Lotion in Cheirosa 62 combines the original formula with a luminous finish for radiant-looking skin.

The expanded collection aims to offer consumers greater personalisation through a choice of textures, finishes and fragrance profiles.

The expanded Body Badalada range launched across travel retail in June and is being supported by dedicated activations, including campaigns at Paris Orly and Manchester airports.
