Guerlain introduces Abeille Royale Honey Treatment Day and Night Creams

The Abeille Royale Honey Treatment Day and Night creams represent the next chapter of Guerlain’s hero Abeille Royale franchise

Beauty and fragrance house Guerlain, part of LVMH Group, has revamped its hero Abeille Royale line by introducing the Honey Treatment Day and Honey Treatment Night creams. The two anti-ageing products act on the visible signs of collagen loss and are now available in global travel retail.

Both products were formulated following epidermal healing mechanisms inspired by honey bandages, which have been historically used to treat wounds.

Centred on honey, the two creams remobilise collagen fibres in the skin across the four stages of epidermal healing. These stages – known in the medical world by the acronym T.I.M.E. – are tissue necrosis removal, inflammation soothing, moisture lock-in and epidermisation.

Both creams feature Black Bee Repair technology to boost the skin’s natural collagen and repair mechanisms

The skincare duo triples the skin’s capacity to connect epidermal nerve cells and skin cells. It features Black Bee Repair technology, royal jelly and three other honeys from Corsica in France, Ikaria in Greece and Aland in Finland to boost the skin’s natural collagen and skin repair mechanisms.

The 2023 generation of Abeille Royale has also been infused with polyfragmented hyaluronic acid and pro-elasticity hexapeptide concentrated at 2%. The former helps retain skin moisture levels, while the latter targets elastin to increase skin plumpness. Together with Black Bee Repair technology, the two ingredients help reverse the signs of collagen loss, therefore restoring the structure of the skin.

The Abeille Royale Honey Treatment Day Cream creates a youth-protecting mesh inspired by honey bandages. Its central ingredient is Ouessant Honey, which is rich in polyphenols and amino acids.

After one month of use, the Honey Treatment Day Cream has been dermatologically proven to correct four visible signs of collagen loss. It boosts skin firmness by +57%, smoothness by +98% and radiance by +63% and reduces wrinkles by -48%.

The Abeille Royale Honey Treatment Night Cream features over-concentrated Ikaria honey, which contains a potent blend of minerals. The Night Cream corrects skin damage and revitalises skin youthfulness.

The creams are made with potent Ouessant Honey alongside three other honeys from Corsica, Ikaria and Aland

After two months of use, the Honey Treatment Night Cream has been dermatologically proven to reduce four visible signs of collagen loss. It boosts firmness by +30% and luminosity by +45%, and reduces fine lines by -30% and tiredness by -43%.

Both creams come in sustainable and refillable jars. They are made with 20-40% recycled glass and represent a -36% reduction in the creams’ carbon footprints compared to previous iterations.

The Honey Treatment Day and Night creams make up Guerlain’s new Abeille Royale anti-ageing ritual. The 50ml Abeille Royale Honey Treatment Day Cream has an RRP of €143 (US$152) and the refill €121 (US$130).
