Haleybrooke International turns up Trumps in duty free with launch of super-premium vodka – 07/03/06

US. Patrick Nilson’s fast-growing agency company Haleybrooke International is to launch Trump Super Premium Vodka to the global duty free and cruise line markets.

The brand, named after the famous US businessman and multi-millionaire Donald Trump, is owned by Drinks Americas Holdings. The company said today: “The global duty free market is a multi-billion dollar luxury goods segment in which spirits are a major component. Drinks Americas will launch Trump Super Premium Vodka this coming spring and expects the brand to establish global distribution in this market segment.”

Haleybrooke International President Patrick Nilson stated: “We are very pleased with the opportunity to work with Drinks Americas on the Trump Super Premium Vodka launch in the important duty free marketplace. The Trump trademark is known around the world and clearly associated with the very best.

“Trump Super Premium Vodka will be a perfect fit in airport duty free shops not only in the Americas but in Europe and Asia Pacific. We see it being featured on high end cruise ships and in diplomatic shops. The duty free business is a luxury goods business which is why the Trump trademark will be a perfect fit in this channel.”

Drinks America CEO Patrick Kenny said: “The Trump trademark is truly a global brand and we are excited that sales of Trump Super Premium Vodka will be extended to the international duty free and luxury goods market. Seeing Trump Vodka selling in airports will be both exciting and worthy of the brand. We are very pleased to be partnering with Patrick Nilson and the entire team at Haleybrooke. We know that over time this market segment will reinforce the global Trump Super Premium Vodka brand and sell a lot of cases.”

The Trump name has already been successfully extended to the fragrances and watches categories.
