Hartsfield-Jackson’s Concourse B welcomes two new dining concepts

US. Concessions International has unveiled two new food & beverage concepts at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport – Paschal’s: A Southern Tradition and Little Azio Pizza & Pasta.

Both openings are part of a major renovation of the airport’s Concourse B, which will contain ten new restaurants including seven Atlanta-based concepts. The revamp is targeted for completion in December.

Founded in 1947 by brothers Robert and James Paschal, Paschal’s is said to have a deep tradition in the Atlanta community. According to Concessions International, the original restaurant, located off Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, became a success due to the pairing of its fried chicken with a new brand of Southern hospitality – and played an important role during the Civil Rights Movement as a meeting place of black and white Atlanta leaders. Paschal’s now operates in downtown’s historic Castleberry district, a venture owned and operated by Concessions International.

The new Concourse B location is said to carry a fresh but familiar design, aiming to let visitors know they are in the South and Atlantans know they are home. Digital menu boards display familiar offerings including a full Southern breakfast, Paschal’s fried chicken and other Southern staples.

“Opening Paschal’s in the Concourse B Center Point Food Court is a proud moment for us,” said Concessions International Chief Executive Donata Russell Major. “During the transition of food & beverage concessions at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Paschal’s has been the concept that travellers have asked for most.”

Little Azio Pizza & Pasta is described as a fast casual Atlanta favourite that delivers Italian food. This includes salads; pastas with “˜made-from-scratch’ sauces; thin-crusted, brick-oven pizzas and grilled sandwiches on freshly baked focaccia bread.

Paschal’s and Little Azio join Concessions International’s other Concourse B ventures including LottaFrutta and Fresh To Order (f2o). The operator will open another five restaurants as part of the Concourse B renovation during the next few months.
