Henkell Freixenet taps spritz and ready-to-drink trends with new travel retail innovations

Freixenet Solare brings a Mediterranean twist to the growing spritz segment, with a new canned ready-to-drink format joining the portfolio from October

Henkell Freixenet is strengthening its travel retail portfolio with new products and refreshed ranges spanning the sparkling wine, aperitivo, ready-to-drink and alcohol-free segments.

Among the key innovations are new canned formats for Freixenet Solare Spritz and Mionetto Orange Spritz Ready-to-Drink, the Freixenet Diamond range, refreshed Mionetto Luxury Collection and the relaunched Gratien Meyer Crémant line.

As reported, Henkell Freixenet recently revamped its global identity with a refreshed corporate logo and new tagline, ‘Making Life Sparkle’, set to roll out across markets worldwide.

Gratien Meyer’s new design pays homage to the historic Saumur cellars where its sparkling wines are aged

Freixenet Solare is a Mediterranean aperitivo launched earlier this year. It is crafted with Spanish lemon, clementine, rosemary and complementary botanicals and made with 100% natural flavours.

The new canned format, Freixenet Solare Spritz Ready-to-Drink, will be available from October.

Mionetto is similarly expanding its aperitivo offer with a canned version of Orange Spritz Ready-to-Drink. Made in Italy using 100% natural flavours, the 5% ABV expression combines orange notes with aromatic herbs and spices, bitter touches and floral sparkling wine aromas. The new format expands the existing 750ml and 200ml offer.

The Luxury Collection represents the premium tier of Mionetto’s Prosecco Superiore DOCG offer and draws on the winery’s heritage dating to 1887

Mionetto is also refreshing its Luxury Collection, comprising Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut and Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG.

Inspired by Venetian glassmaking traditions, the redesigned bottles feature a textured finish, 3D embossed logo, orange capsule and foil-embossed crest.

Henkell Freixenet is relaunching the Gratien Meyer Crémant portfolio with a new visual identity inspired by the Loire Valley. The design was inspired by the pale tufa stone in the historic cellars which aged the Crémant.

Henkell Freixenet is also spotlighting the Diamond range. It spans alcoholic and alcohol-free sparkling wines and is distinguished by its diamond-shaped bottle. The portfolio includes Freixenet Diamond 0.0%, a super-premium sparkling wine made from selected de-alcoholised Italian grapes.

Henkell Freixenet will present the innovations at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes (27 September – 1 October). It is also hosting an invitation-only Freixenet Solare Spritz event for trade partners and media.
