HMSHost opens largest Eataly North American airport location at New York JFK Terminal 4

USA. Avolta company HMSHost and JFK International Air Terminal (JFKIAT) have unveiled a 6,935sq ft Eataly restaurant and marketplace at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 4.

Located adjacent to the Delta Sky Club near Gate B32, the new outlet is Eataly’s largest airport location in North America.

It features more than 200 seats, a restaurant, wine bar and marketplace offering grab-and-go products.

The food & beverage selection spans traditional Italian pizza and pasta, antipasti, salads, desserts, wines and cocktails.

The opening forms part of JFKIAT’s partnership with an HMSHost-led joint venture, announced in 2025, to introduce a broader range of local and international dining concepts at Terminal 4.

The Eataly outlet is positioned within the terminal’s Manhattan-themed zone, part of a wider commercial strategy that draws on the distinct identities of New York City’s boroughs.

A taste of Italy: Eataly’s La Pizza & La Pasta restaurant offers an inviting dining space, with natural light and a mix of individual tables and banquette seating

It joins a growing T4 dining portfolio that includes Brooklyn Tea & Market, FIELDTRIP, Bessou, Chopt, Dos Toros and Hunt & Fish Club.

The new location adapts Eataly’s established restaurant and marketplace format to the airport environment, with an emphasis on passenger circulation, accessible grab-and-go displays and clear signage.

Its design incorporates bronze, stone, leather and wood finishes, drawing inspiration from the brand’s New York flagship in Manhattan’s Flatiron District.

Italian flavours on the move: The marketplace combines chilled food, drinks and packaged specialities for passengers seeking a quick purchase

The HMSHost-led joint venture also involves local business partners Tamalito, Neat Rules Hospitality Group, Kintaro Foods, Kismet Cocktails, Corlis Stone-Littles, SHCAIR and Fresco’s Cantina.

JFKIAT Chief Executive Officer Roel Huinink said: “The arrival of Eataly marks another exciting step forward in our continued efforts to enhance the culinary and passenger experience at T4.

“As we continue to shape the future of our terminal, we remain committed to introducing concepts that offer passengers meaningful opportunities to discover new flavours, cultures, and experiences.

Pendant lighting, rich wood finishes and counter seating give Eataly’s wine bar a contemporary Italian feel

“Eataly brings the traditions, quality, and hospitality of Italy to T4, adding another layer to the diverse and dynamic experience we strive to create for travellers from around the world.”

HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Anthony Alessi commented: “At HMSHost, we are passionate about transforming travel through exceptional dining experiences, and the opening of Eataly at JFK Terminal 4 represents exactly that vision.

“As one of New York City’s most celebrated culinary destinations, Eataly brings an authentic sense of place, world-class Italian cuisine and genuine hospitality to travellers.

Eataly’s signature message takes centre stage in a relaxed dining area featuring upholstered seating, greenery and an open kitchen

“Together with JFKIAT and our partners, we are proud to continue elevating Terminal 4’s food & beverage programme with concepts that reflect the energy, diversity, and global appeal of New York while creating memorable moments throughout the passenger journey.”

Eataly Global Head of Franchising Simone Tosato said: “From the start, Eataly has been rooted in the belief that food is a powerful way to connect people, with Italian culture and tradition at our heart.

“The new location at JFK allows us to bring this mission to life within a dynamic airport environment, offering a curated guest experience that underlines the quality, craftsmanship and hospitality that can be found across the peninsula of Italy.”

Italian food retail and hospitality group Eataly operates 69 locations across 16 countries, employing more than 5,000 people.
