US. Honora, a US-based jewellery company specialising in freshwater pearls, is taking its new tagline for 2011 – “˜A Fresh New Look At Pearls’ – to the IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas this month (Stand number: 2409).
The company claims to be the largest importer of fine freshwater pearls in the US and uses these cultured pearls to create “colourful and affordable” pearl jewellery.

Honora has been family owned and operated by the Schechters since 1946. Honora is going into its third generation of active family members in the business including CEO Joel Schechter and President Ralph Rossini.
2011 sees the launch of several new collections from Honora’s Design Director Julie Lamb, who joined the company last year. Her first full assortment of new pearl jewellery designs were unveiled at the Centurion Jewelry Show in Tucson, Arizona, which ran from 30 January to 1 February.
Also new for 2011 is Honora’s “˜Design Your Own’ concept, which allows customers to create their own colour combinations from the brand’s pearl palette. This “fresh new look at colour” is driven by Honora’s introduction of infused pearl colours over the past few years – a process that allowed the jeweller to offer pearls in a wide array of colours and combinations.
In addition to the classic assortment of naturally occurring colours of freshwater pearls, Honora now has a wide palette of infused colours including Cherry and Navy Blue. Honora Sr Merchandise Director Larry Lippert is responsible for some of the most popular colour combinations in the history of the company, including the Rainforest, Bluestone, Safari, Midnight and Santa Fe collections.
Honora has also unveiled a new-look website www.honora.com where customers can view the latest pearl jewellery collections, as well as learn more about the different shapes, colours and varieties of cultured pearls.
