UK/SINGAPORE. UK company Historic Originals has appointed Jonathan Holland & Associates (via its parent HMS Distribution) as its agent for the Hot Diamonds jewellery brand in Asian and Australasian travel retail.
Head of Global Development Julian Mullins told The Moodie Report: “Apart from Dragonair we have little presence in Asia so we see a very good opportunity. It was therefore very important to find the right partner. We’ve had significant interest in Hot Diamonds after the Singapore and Cannes shows so we feel this is the right time to make the move.
Hot Diamonds has made impressive gains in travel retail since entering the channel in July 2002. It enjoys very strong business in the UK and continental Europe and in North America across the airline, land border and cruise sectors.
Gaining the agency for such a dynamic young brand is a further coup for ex-YSL executive Jonathan Holland, who announced his new independent company earlier this month. Jonathan Holland & Associates will handle Lancaster Group’s Asian travel retail business.
It will also represent Quantum Supplies, part of DR Group Holdings, which owns and operates the Chocolate Sales & Supplies retail store in Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
