GERMANY/INTERNATIONAL. German fashion group Hugo Boss has announced the opening of its 150th Boss shop in travel retail.
The store, developed in partnership with Tie Rack (US) Inc, is located inside security control at Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport Main Terminal (Northstar Crossing).
The 68sq m boutique opened to the public on 29 July 2007 and displays the Boss Black and Boss Orange menswear and accessories.
Hugo Boss CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board Dr Bruno Sälzer said: “Travel retail is of great strategic importance to Hugo Boss. It is a key distribution channel, both in terms of business and brand visibility. In line with the company’s expansion plans, travel retail will play a significant role in supporting the growth of our womenswear lines and accessories.
“The opening of this first freestanding travel retail store in North America is a major accomplishment for our travel retail department and a considerable development in our growth strategy in this region.”
