Ian Macleod Distillers (IMD) is extending its global travel retail-exclusive (TREX) malt whisky portfolio with new expressions from Glengoyne and Tamdhu, alongside refreshed packaging for Smokehead Extra Rare.
The portfolio will be presented at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Bay Village 3).
The independent family-owned distiller will introduce Glengoyne Spirit of Time 18 Year Old Oak Reserve Edition and Tamdhu American Oak Reserva 14 Year Old to the travel retail market.
Glengoyne 18 Year Old Oak Reserve Edition (41.6% ABV, 70cl) carries an RRP of £99 (US$132).
The expression, which marks the return of an 18 Year Old Glengoyne to travel retail after more than a decade, is matured predominantly in American oak sherry butts.
It joins Glengoyne 12 Year Old First Fill Edition, 15 Year Old Pedro Xíménez Cask Edition and 27 Year Old Limited Edition in the Glengoyne Spirit of Time range.
Tamdhu American Oak Reserva 14 Year Old (46% ABV, 70cl) has an RRP of £89.99 (US$120). The Speyside single malt is matured exclusively in oloroso sherry oak casks, with an emphasis on first-fill American oak.

“We are equally thrilled that American Oak Reserva is a worthy addition to Tamdhu’s Reserva range and a superb complement to 12 Year Old Cuatro Reserva and Gran Reserva, both of which have developed quite a following from sherry cask enthusiasts.”
IMD will also showcase its wider Scotch whisky portfolio, spanning Smokehead Islay Single Malt, Rosebank Lowland Single Malt and Glenfarclas Highland Single Malt.
Global TREX Smokehead Extra Rare has received new packaging designed to strengthen shelf visibility, while Rosebank will be represented by Remarkable Casks Release and Single Malt Vintage Release III.
The latter is a 33 Year Old 1991 vintage and the third in a five-strong series of TREX Rosebank vintages, priced at £3,900 (US$5,206).
The Glenfarclas portfolio, distributed by IMD in travel retail on behalf of family-owned J&G Grant, includes channel-exclusive Glenfarclas 11 Year Old 1-litre (£49.99/US$67) and 16 Year Old 70cl (£79.99/US$107), alongside Glenfarclas 105 1-litre (£69.99/US$93.50) and 35 Year Old 70cl (£765/US$1,021).
Edinburgh Gin will complete the line-up, including its full-strength gins and TREX Elevated Editions liqueurs in Rhubarb & Ginger, Raspberry and Blood Orange & Ginger variants.
During the TFWA World Exhibition, IMD will host Happy Hour events on its terrace overlooking Cannes harbour from 17:30 to 18:30 on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 September.
