Images of the Day: How the world of travel retail is ringing in the Year of the Fire Horse

INTERNATIONAL. Our latest selection of images features snapshots from around the world of travel retail as industry communities mark the advent of the Year of the Fire Horse (from 17 February).

The Lunar New Year celebrations are being celebrated by many millions of people around the world, with airports in every region marking the auspicious date with their own celebrations. We feature some of the most eye-catching below, with social media links where relevant.

Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, represented in travel retail by our Images of the Day partner Duty Free Global, launched its latest limited edition for Lunar New Year at Dublin Airport last week. Fittingly, it did so with a link to horse racing, with famed horses such as Arkle and Red Rum incorporated into the design. The image shows well-known former Irish jockey Nina Carberry celebrating the launch at Dublin Airport Duty Free.
