From 4 August to 31 October, travellers passing through terminals 1 and 2 can take part in ‘The Suitcase Left Behind: The Mystery Owner’, using their smartphones to gather clues, solve puzzles and unravel the mystery behind an abandoned suitcase.

Those who complete the challenge will be entered into a prize draw, with 100 winners receiving original Kobe Airport merchandise.

The immersive experience across the terminal buildings offers a new way for travellers to engage with Kobe Airport as it marks this milestone.

A cheerful send-off: Kobe Airport’s official mascot Sorayan joined airport staff in thanking travellers during one of the milestone anniversary celebrations

Earlier in the anniversary year, Kansai Airports hosted a series of celebratory events, including send-off ceremonies for departing flights operated by various airlines.

The anniversary celebrations also included a two-day Thanks Fair held on 14-15 February, bringing together airline exhibits, local product showcases and tourism promotions at Kobe Harborland umie, DUO KOBE and Kobe Airport.

The airport company noted its plans to continue developing initiatives to promote the appeal of airports and travel.
