UAE. Today’s images are courtesy of Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths, who describes with justifiable pride on LinkedIn how the progressive UAE company has just launched the next phase of an ambitious accessibility strategy.
How ambitious? Here’s your answer – a ten-year plan to make Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC) the world’s most accessible airports by 2035.
“This goes beyond infrastructure. It’s about rethinking the entire airport journey so that every guest, whatever their needs, feels respected, supported and welcome,” the redoubtable Mr Griffiths comments.
“The next phase of our campaign, ‘We All Meet the World Differently’, captures this vision,” he explains. “Co-created with People of Determination and our oneDXB partners, it brings lived experiences to the forefront and challenges all of us to see travel through a different lens.”

As Griffiths points out, DXB has already made enormous progress – from becoming the world’s first Certified Autism-Friendly international airport to training more than 53,000 colleagues in accessibility awareness.
“But this is just the beginning of a much bigger journey,” he concludes. A journey that should be watched, admired and hopefully mirrored by airports all around the globe. ✈
