Middle East exclusive: Gruppo Campari-owned X-Rated Fusion Liqueur on display in one of James Richardson Duty Free’s stores at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport

MIDDLE EAST. Gruppo Campari is launching its X-Rated Fusion Liqueur brand in the Middle East following its successful introduction across Europe (Basel, Tenerife, Nice, Copenhagen, Frankfurt and Oslo).

The company has chosen Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport as the exclusive, sole location for the launch into the region with James Richardson Duty Free as the exclusive partner.

Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport is the largest and busiest international airport in Israel, serving about 10.5 million passengers in 2007, an increase of +32% over the last four years. It is the hub for El-Al, Israir Airlines, Arkia Israel Airlines and Sun d’Or International Airlines.

The pioneer of duty free retailing in Australia, James Richardson has operated the principal duty free licence at Ben Gurion Airport since 1988. In 2004 the company retained the liquor, tobacco, perfume, cosmetics and confectionery tender to operate for a further 10 years.

“We are truly convinced that James Richardson Duty Free’s strong expertise combined with X-Rated’s key assets of an X-quisite taste and an X-traordinary product proposition are themselves a solid guarantee of striking results for our brand,” enthused Campari International Global Trade Marketing Manager Giulia Biasin.
