CHINA. Chinese travel retail specialist and price comparison app Jessica’s Secret has unveiled its latest service for retail partners.
Users of the popular Jessica’s Secret app can now connect directly from the platform to retailers’ apps or websites and pre-order, thus driving awareness, (virtual) footfall and sales.
“It is a highly significant addition to our service,” Jessica’s Secret Founder & CEO Mirko Wang told The Moodie Davitt Report. “By launching this function, it means that Jessica will become a completely open platform, no longer bound to keep customers on its own platform. This will provide more traffic to cooperative brands and retailers.”
The videos below show the programme in action. If a Jessica’s Secret user wants to buy a specific product at a certain airport (say, Manchester in video one) or through a selected travel retailer (for example, King Power International in Thailand or China Duty Free Group in China in video two), they press ‘go pre-order’. They are then taken to the appropriate website where products can be perused and pre-orders placed.
“We can do this for free for any retailer with a website, mini program, or app,” Wang commented. “The reason we opened this feature up is that we hope we can help retailers’ ecommerce offers get more attention and purchases through greater awareness.
“Many retailers have established their ecommerce platforms, but Chinese travellers often do not know that. So our service will help travellers discover the various platforms.”
Note: Jessica’s Secret is a Preferred Media Partner at the forthcoming Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo in October, part of a powerful Chinese retailer, media and data services contingent visiting the pioneering event.
