Jose Cuervo International is to distribute the Jose Cuervo tequila portfolio directly to all European duty free operators as of 1 July 2013.
Commenting on the decision, Jose Cuervo International EMEA Regional Director Yiannis Stratos said: “We are delighted to be working directly with the European duty free operators. This new route-to-market model demonstrates our strong focus on this important channel and we look forward to unlocking significant growth potential of the portfolio for all parts of the value chain.”
Jose Cuervo International Managing Director Peter Gutierrez said that the opportunity to grow the brands in European duty free is “an exciting challenge”.
“With this new approach we want to bring significant added value to our duty free partners in Europe and also build the tequila category in this channel,” he said.
