Mild Seven was rebranded as Mevius last year |
SINGAPORE. JTI has continued the rollout of Mevuis cigarettes – formerly known as Mild Seven – into key Asia Pacific markets, following the rebranding last summer.
The cigarettes were initially launched in February in Japan, with Singapore added on 1 May. The Mevius brand will be introduced to Taiwan, Korea, Thailand and Malaysia from June onwards.
JTI Worldwide Duty Free General Manager David Francis said: “There has been an overwhelmingly universal acceptance of the new name and look for Mevius wherever it has replaced the Mild Seven brand.
“Thanks to the very strong reputation of Mild Seven in Asia we expect to see an equally high level of enthusiasm for Mevius in Asia Pacific duty free markets.”
As reported last year, the new brand name retains the “˜M’ and “˜S’ from Mild Seven, aiming to signify a sense of evolution in the brand. The new design also retain’s the blue colour, and the packaging.
