“The Trinity Forum has always been the industry’s main platform for candid debate and the showcasing of excellence“ |

MACAU/HONG KONG. King Power Group Hong Kong, which is sponsoring the Gala Dinner at this year’s Trinity Forum in Macau (23-25 September) and delivering a major presentation on the retail development at Macau Airport, said its strong participation in this year’s event is critical in the current climate.
King Power is one of Asia’s leading travel retail companies.
Managing Director Duty Free and Travel Retail Sunil Tuli said: “The timing of this year’s Trinity Forum is ideal as we believe that by September we will be starting to see the green shoots of recovery in the travel retail industry and certainly in the wider economic environment.
“The Trinity Forum has always been the industry’s main platform for candid debate and the showcasing of excellence. We think more than ever this year that the travel retail sector needs to reassess its direction in light of the crisis and evaluate the lessons that the downturn has taught us. September’s Forum will allow us to do that.
“We’re also delighted to be supporting the event’s host – CAM – Macau International Airport Company Limited – as its long-time and exclusive duty free partner. Together we have hugely exciting plans to take retailing at Macau’s premier gateway to new heights and we will be previewing these at the Trinity Forum.”
The event has been endorsed by the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association, of which Sunil Tuli is President.

Trinity delegates will also be offered the opportunity to take a tour of Macau’s latest and best retail initiatives. Macau has witnessed a flurry of travel retail activity in the past 18 months, including the opening of DFS Galleria Macao in July; and in 2007 the unveiling of the vast shopping-to-leisure complex The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, whose retail offer includes stores from Nuance-Watson (HK) and Duty Free Americas as well as King Power Hong Kong (which also runs the duty free stores at the airport and ferry port).
Another major luxury retail complex, City of Dreams, will open in coming months, featuring the latest DFS Group offer.
