The five collectible Kimmi fragrances |
Collectible Kimmi fragrances
For 2012, KOTO Parfums is continuing to develop its Kimmi Junior fragrances. Inspired by Japanese Kokeshi dolls, traditional symbols of friendship in Japan, these dolls have a style and personality of their own which KOTO seeks to portray in its Kimmi fragrance range.
Following the 2011 introduction of Lily, Mimi and Niki fragrances, the new lines are Millie and Billie, all in 50ml edts.
Billie, who loves to laugh and have fun, has a girly fragrance to match this mischievous character. Sweet, fruity notes combine with raspberry-coloured candy floss, dusted with vanilla sugar and dressed in green fig leaves
blended with lily of the valley. The green yet sweet fragrance also features a touch of pastel, the light-pink shade of cherry blossom, softening the musk and white wood.
Attractive and smiley, Millie is described as full of colour and sparkle. Dressed in pink, red and ladybirds, her fragrance is a fresh and sweet edt. The initial zesty notes of grapefruit, mandarin and blackcurrant are softened by the more subtle blend of raspberry, cherry blossom and lily of the valley, allowing the floral, fruity scent to unfold. Vanilla musk is also a feature.
For the floral Lily, Alexandra Monet has created a floral note sublimating the rose and peony with a hint of
edible facet. Fruity notes are fresh and juicy. The powdery perfume centres on pink sugar and violet to create
a lipstick effect. For contrast, the delicacy of vanilla and musk softens the intensity of liquorice.
For the bubbly Mimi, Corinne Cachen sought to illustrate the idea of a splash, a Cologne with added vitamins, fresh and addictive. The fruit and citrus cocktail has acidulous and sparkling facets. A combination of light and transparent flowers with a green tea facet seeks to awake the senses. A white accord of velvet musk is allied with vanilla.
For the gourmand Niki, Delphine Jelk sought to recreate the freshness of red fruit water ice, like a sorbet, evoking the juicy and sweet flesh of fresh strawberries and raspberries. Peonies illuminates this “pop and colourful” fragrance, which is described as floral, fruity and musky.
The design features a gloss painted layered bottle and stylised pad printed finish depicting the doll’s dress. A large cap illustrating the doll’s face tops off the bottle, aiming to make it a collector’s piece.
Described as fun and decorative, the packaging portrays the doll in a graphical and colourful fashion. Its matt finish combined with touches of gloss, bringing a hint of sophistication to the product.
Each box contains a sheet of stickers to personalise your own bottle and a “passport”, a small leaflet presenting the the Kimmi Fragrance range.
Millie and Billie only contain 30% alcohol.
The company said there would be “more surprises” from KOTO Parfums at the end of the year, but declined to give details.
