La Prairie’s new Soleil Suisse Sun Defense Système |
La Prairie has created a new sun protection collection, called Soleil Suisse Sun Defense Système. It will be available from February 2012. The five products are said to offer a new lifestyle of protective skincare for both women and men.
The line features powerful sunscreens, anti-oxidants, moisturisers, earth- and sea-derived elements, and La Prairie’s exclusive Cellular Complex. In addition to sun protection, the formulas neutralise the toxic tendencies of environmental pollutants, and help prevent premature ageing of the skin, according to the brand.
The three key products are Sun Protection Emulsion Face SPF 30 (125ml), Sun Protection Lotion Body SPF 30 (180ml) and Ultra Protection Stick Eye Lip Nose SPF 40 (10g). They safeguard from damaging UVA and UVB rays, and moisturise and nourish the skin. The stick provides an extra dose of protection to the most sensitive regions of the face, and is packaged in a portable, swivel-stick format.
Complementing the sun protection products is a Soothing After Sun Mist for Face and Body (150ml). Enriched with minerals and soothing botanical extracts, this is said to help restore the skin’s equilibrium, while instantly diminishing redness and calming irritability. Its action is enhanced by Boerhavia Diffusa Root Extract, which relieves the skin’s sensitivity. It also contains calcium and zinc.
Completing the collection is Gradual Tanning Lotion for Face and Body (180ml). This self-tanner is claimed to produce the most authentic sun-kissed sunless tan. The formula contains two self-tanning agents: dihydroxyacetone (DHA), which reacts with the amino acids in the upper layer of the skin, for a self-tan effect that is visible after about two hours; and Erythrulose, which complements the effect of DHA to produce a long-lasting, streak-free, uniform tone.
La Prairie Soleil Suisse Sun Defense Système is presented in white and silver packaging.
