NEW ZEALAND/AOTEAROA. LagardèreAWPL has continued its retail refresh at Wellington Airport with the opening of Discover Wellington and a redesigned Relay store.
The two concepts add to the airport’s expanding retail mix, which includes Tech2Go, Amuse and Duty Free @ WLG.

Discover Wellington features a curated range of authentic, high-quality and affordable gifts inspired by New Zealand’s North Island.
Popular local brands at the store include Wellington Chocolate Factory and Dr Bugs Popcorn, alongside pottery by Jacinda Bradley and Hurricanes rugby merchandise.
The refurbished Relay store at Wellington Airport features a modernised design and expanded range, including grab-and-go food, push-button coffee, a bakery selection, premium travel accessories, technology and essential health and beauty products. These are added to established offers such as books, magazines and children’s products.
Wellington Airport Chief Executive Matt Clarke said: “These new stores are a fantastic addition to the terminal experience. Discover Wellington offers locally themed souvenirs and gifts celebrating our region, and the new expanded Relay store has an amazing shopping selection.
“We’re now midway through a major refresh of our terminal. In addition to these new stores we’ve delivered the new multi-level venue Good Day, a new terminal sculpture centrepiece Manu Muramura, and we’re about to commence the full redevelopment of our duty-free offerings with our new duty-free operator LagardèreAWPL.”
To mark the openings, a treasure hunt will run throughout the April school holidays, inviting travellers to discover the full range of retail offerings across the airport. ✈
