Lancôme aims to create beautiful skin with Visionnaire

Futuristic face care: Lancôme’s new Visionnaire

FRANCE. Lancôme has unveiled a key new skincare product called Visionnaire. It will be available in travel retail worldwide from September.

Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector is described by Lancôme Worldwide President Youcef Nabi as a “global skincare solution based on a unique molecule with optimal tolerance.” That molecule (LR 2412) is said to “self-propel” through the layers of the epidermis, to set off a series of tissular micro-transformations.

The result is visibly transformed, beautiful skin, with a finer texture, erased wrinkles, reduced pigmentary and vascular irregularities and tightened pores, according to the brand.

LR 2412 is the result of 10 years of research, and is protected by 17 patents. It was inspired by the “signal-molecule” jasmonic acid, produced by damaged plants to heal themselves and protect against future harm.

The Visionnaire formula can be used on all skin types, even sensitive skin and the eye contour area, all year round, morning and night. It has been tested on a variety of different complexions, including Hispanic, Caucasian, Asian and Afro-American.

The full Visionnaire test programme featured 800 women. In the study involving 34 women considering a cosmetic procedure (hyaluronic acid, botox, peel or laser treatment), after four weeks of using Visionnaire, more than one out of two women decided to postpone it.

The formula – lightly fragranced with a rose scent – is presented in a futuristic bottle, inspired by a mix of glass and metal, coloured silver and malachite green.

To emphasise Visionnaire’s universal reach, the advertising campaign will feature the product and four different faces, of different ethnic origins: Hispanic, Caucasian, African and Asian.

The product will retail domestically at around €82 for 30ml.
