Lancôme goes regal for Nutrix anniversary – 07/09/06

FRANCE. Lancôme has revamped the formula for its Nutrix cream, aimed at dry skin sufferers, to coincide with the product’s 70th anniversary. Nutrix Royal will be available in European and South Korean travel retail markets from October.

Launched in 1936, Nutrix is claimed to have been one of the first water-in-oil emulsions. Over the years, it has become known as the “SOS cream” benchmark for dry skins, according to Lancôme.

Now the formula has been updated with Royal Lipidéum, described as a breakthrough triple-action complex which reactivates the natural cutaneous exfoliation process, stimulates the lipid synthesis and deeply nourishes the skin.

The complex has also been enriched with Royal Jelly, for extra nutrients. Other key ingredients include vitamin Cg and hazelnut extracts, beeswax and shea butter.

Nutrix Royal is available in two textures, a cream and a fluid. The recommended domestic price for the 50ml cream is €50.
