Lancôme revamps Génifique franchise with new Advanced treatment

Lancôme has updated its flagship Génifique anti-ageing treatment with a new version, Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate. The original product, which made its debut in 2009, was described at launch as a “decisive breakthrough in the world of beauty”. The futuristic treatment was claimed to revive the activity of the skin’s youth genes, thereby stimulating production of young skin hallmark proteins.

Lancôme aims to turn back time with the new Advanced Génifique treatment

Advanced Génifique is said to repair and activate 10 key visible and tactile signs of youth (fine lines, coarse wrinkles, radiance, clarity, evenness, texture, resilience, tonicity, firmness and sagginess). The original formula has been updated following new research discoveries, and has been enriched with a new biotechnology-derived ingredient. Each drop delivers almost +40% more active ingredients, Lancôme maintains. The new formula is patented until 2029.

The texture of Advanced Génifique is described as fresher, replumping, protective and cocooning. In terms of packaging, the “˜little black bottle’ bottle now sports Lancôme’s signature rose motif. And the applicator is now a self-loading dropper which, with one twist, takes up the right amount of product for optimal application.

Skin is said to appear smoother, more supple and more luminous from the first few drops. After seven days, it looks visibly rejuvenated; after eight weeks’ use, the 10 key signs of youth are clinically proven to be significantly improved, according to Lancôme.
