L’Oréal Produits de Luxe International names Anne Valentin to replace Jean-François Ninu in key travel retail post – 04/01/10

Anne Valentin: Strong local market experience will benefit travel retail

FRANCE. Anne Valentin has been appointed to replace Jean-François Ninu as General Manager of Travel Retail Europe, Middle East and Africa, L’Oréal Produits de Luxe International announced today.

Valentin began her career within the group with Travel Retail Europe as Sales Director and then General Manager of Lancôme Travel Retail Europe.

In 1992, she moved to the French market as Marketing Director of Helena Rubinstein and was appointed General Manager of Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, Viktor&Rolf and Helena Rubinstein in 1999.

In 2005, Valentin was given a new challenge to head one of L’Oréal’s strategic zones – the Eastern Countries. She opened the subsidiaries and demonstrated an energetic capacity to defend and to build the Luxury division brands’ portfolio, the company said. The brands became the leader of the Eastern countries.

Jean-François Ninu began with the group in 2001 within the Luxury Products Division: first, within Travel Retail Europe as Area Manager, and two years later within Parbel as Division Manager of Prestige & Collections and then Lancôme.

He was appointed General Manager of Travel Retail Europe, Middle East & Africa in January 2007, a position he managed with determination, professionalism and rigour, L’Oréal said.

Ninu has decided to leave the group to embark on another professional project.
