SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free, the country’s biggest travel retailer and world number two, yesterday hosted a virtual beauty class for around 40 VIP customers in association with luxury skincare brand La Mer.
The ‘Lotte Duty Free VIP Virtual Event with La Mer’ introduced the brand – acquired by The Estée Lauder Companies in 1995 –by encouraging customers to discover the Genaissance de la Mer collection. Product usage related to La Mer’s most-coveted collection was explained and beauty tips offered.
Lotte Duty Free said that the initiative was in line with a plan to resume non-face-to-face collaboration events with brands to enhance customer experience marketing.
The travel retailer provided its guests a product trial kit and massage tools in advance so that they could experience the products during the beauty class. After the event a 1:1 customised skin care solution was provided to customers who wished to receive more detailed beauty consulting.
