USA. LS travel retail North America has opened two new stores at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport: Texas Territories in Terminal B and iStore in Terminal A.
Texas Territories offers souvenir and gift merchandise, including handmade jewellery from local artisans, cowboy boots, fashion belt buckles, hot sauce and home décor, as well as children’s and adult apparel and accessories. The store houses a life-size model of a Texas Longhorn steer that is said to attract customers from around the terminal.
The new iStore outlet offers a range of consumer technologies and features Bose and Monster listening stations. One of the fastest-growing airport speciality concepts, according to the retailer, the store offers personal mobile devices and accessories, including tablets, e-readers and headphones from leading brands Apple, Sony, Bose and others.
“We are pleased to add these two brands to our retail programme at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport,” said LS travel retail Chief Development Officer Vadim Motlik. “Texas Territories honours the rich culture of Texas and the American West with products that reflect the unique sense of place of Dallas and Fort Worth. And iStore brings the best of electronics retailing to the world’s ninth busiest airport.”
These new additions are part of the airport’s Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program (TRIP), a seven-year redevelopment programme which will include all four of DFW’s original terminals. With more than 60 million passengers in 2013, Dallas/Fort Worth is the largest airport in Texas and the fourth busiest airport in the USA.
As reported, Dallas/Fort Worth recently released tenders for duty free, other retail and key food & beverage concessions.
