ITALY. Luxottica has unveiled its first-ever sunglasses collection for the British fashion house Burberry. The Autumn/Winter 2006 collection takes its inspiration from the Burberry Icons Collection, which was designed to celebrate the brand’s 150th anniversary.

The company’s signature D-ring buckle, quilted check effect and the equestrian knight are featured on styles in iconic colours: trench, oxblood and black.
Oversized shapes, introduced in the Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2006 women’swear show, as well as modern twists on the aviator style are key to this season’s collection.

Included in the line are classic shapes and temple designs featured in the season’s fashion colours: white, purple, blue-grey, classic tortoise, brown and olive as well as the iconic colours.
British supermodel Kate Moss appears in the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2006 advertising campaign.
