MAC Cosmetics launches first-ever campaign exclusive to travel retail

MAC Cosmetics has announced its first campaign exclusive to the duty free and travel retail channel.

Called Destination: Fabulous! the campaign gives travelling shoppers the chance to “take a jet-set journey into high glam” according to brand owner The Estée Lauder Companies, with a high-visibility presence across major airports and downtown duty free stores worldwide.

In MAC’s typical cheeky and humorous way (see video below), the brand invites customers to “sit back, relax and enjoy our beauty safety announcements – then locate your nearest MAC travel store to take your look from jet-lag to jet-fab”.

Products publicised by the new campaign include a face kit (above) and lipstick trios (below), both travel retail exclusives.

Helping to secure that jet-fab luxe look, MAC has created travel-exclusive kits of best-selling products for skin preparation, lips, and eyelashes to create a full-face look.

This first-ever campaign recognises the continuing importance of the travel retail business which has consistently been highlighted as a key contributor to the financial performance of Estée Lauder Companies.
