Martinique Aimé Césaire Airport issues tender for duty free, general retail, food & beverage, and advertising

MARTINIQUE. The Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport Company (SAMAC) has launched a tender covering key commercial spaces, including duty free, food & beverage , advertising and specialist retail.

The tender is the French West Indies airport is being organised in association with PT&M, the specialist enterprise run by Managing Director Eric Trichot, which assists airport, railways, and freeway companies to optimise their commercial activities.

The Moodie Davitt Report will be tracking the tender throughout.

The pre-selected candidates will receive the complete Request for Proposals (RFP) in mid-November and will then have two months to prepare their offers.

Importantly, the duty free, F&B and advertising concessions run for ten years plus a two-year period at the start to allow for the recovery from the COVID-19 crisis

Bids will be judged according to the following criteria and weightings:

• Design: 200 points

• Marketing plan: 200 points

• Financial commitment: 500 points

• Quality of offer: 100 points

Dufry is the incumbent duty free concessionaire, with Servair and some independents running the food & beverage.

Importantly, the duty free, F&B and advertising concessions run for ten years plus a two-year period at the start to allow for the recovery from the COVID-19 crisis. The single F&B concession is a particularly attractive opportunity in that it covers all the airport catering outlets.
