MCM has unveiled two distinctive versions of its best-selling shopper bag style as part of a new initiative, starting with the Spring/Summer 2012 season.
The Shopper Project initiative introduces a new, simple shopper design featuring the iconic beribboned MCM logo on leather.

Inspired by global lifestyles, the bags are described as suitable for any season around the globe and are said to be “ideal for on-the-go nomads who value class, style and quality”.
MCM kicks off the project with two elegant and functional versions, and will continuously present new styles and colour options throughout the year.
The Heritage Shopper picks up the colour-blocking trends from the runway and interprets it with an urban twist, targeted at those who seek a spacious bag for both work and leisure. Designed in a playful and original style, the fresh seasonal colours are white, Cognac and beige.
The Reversible Shopper features MCM’s iconic Cognac Visetos combined with trend-oriented colours and prints. The bag can be easily transformed from one pattern to the other, making it a capacious option for global travellers who seek functionality and style, the German luxury brand said.

Available in three vivid colours, lime, orange and blue, the reversible shopper comes with a small pouch which can also be used separately.
In the following months MCM said it would continue to unveil “exciting new shoppers in various styles and sizes”.
