Mondelez World Travel Retail (WTR) is set to strengthen the sharing segment in 2015 with major investments in its Milka tablet range.
The popular Milka big-size tablet range packaging has been redesigned to feature a travel retail exclusive design. It will be on-shelf from November this year. The new packaging incorporates flavour colour-coding and gifting cues, said to deliver an easier “˜spot and select’ for customers, claims Mondelez.
The packaging also features a new “˜100% Alpine Milk’ stamp, emphasising Milka’s Alpine heritage.

Following the launch of Milka Oreo last year, Mondelez is set to introduce the new Milka Choco & Wafer. The tablet combines Alpine milk chocolate with a layer of wafer, filled with hazelnut cream and caramelised hazelnut pieces.
Milka Choco & Wafer features a travel retail exclusive design and aims to give customers more variety in the sharing segment, said Mondelez. The new tablet will be in-store from April 2015.
Mondelez WTR Category Marketing Manager Nicole Hatt said: “Milka has become synonymous with the sharing segment due to the huge popularity of its tablets, both domestically and in travel retail. In line with our Delighting Travelers vision, these enhancements to the tablet range will drive “˜More Shoppers, More Spend, More Often’, by creating a truly compelling and differentiated offer that has real “˜wow factor’ in store.”
