UK/INTERNATIONAL. Our dynamic Moodie Davitt Report team member, Brands Director Hannah Tan, has been recognised by parent company Mark Allen Group for outstanding contributions through the company’s monthly Values in Practice (VIP) Awards.
The VIP Awards is a peer-led initiative celebrating employees who actively bring the organisation’s core values to life: Passionate, Creative, Nurturing and Fair.
Hannah was recognised for high-impact editorial and team-focused initiatives that exemplify values-led leadership.

Values in action: International Women’s Day initiative
Hannah’s nomination highlighted her central role in conceiving and delivering a major International Women’s Day (IWD) editorial initiative titled Voices of Impact. The project brought together women from across the global travel retail community to share personal reflections on leadership, empowerment and collective action.
Participants were invited to share quotes from women who had influenced their personal and professional journeys, alongside examples of how they were giving back on IWD through mentorship, advocacy, philanthropy or initiatives promoting equality and opportunity.

The initiative was widely recognised internally as a strong example of creative editorial leadership aligned with the industry’s evolving focus on inclusion and representation.
As noted in the nomination, put forward by our Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie: “In a sector where women make up a hugely significant percentage of shoppers, it is vital as travel retail’s number one title we lead by example.”

A compassionate response in a moment of loss
Hannah was also recognised for guiding a deeply sensitive internal initiative following the passing of our beloved colleague Sinead Moodie.
She led the creation of a tribute and engagement project connected to the team’s #KickCancerThon initiative, designed to honour Sinead’s memory while supporting cancer research fundraising efforts.

The project brought colleagues together during a period of intense sorrow and provided a structured, collective way to contribute to awareness and remembrance.
The nomination described it as, “A beautiful and nurturing project that also helped each staff member in their grief.”
The tribute project is documented here.
Recognised within a wider values framework
The VIP Awards, launched by Mark Allen Group, are designed to recognise everyday behaviours that strengthen workplace culture and reinforce shared organisational values.
Employees across divisions are nominated monthly for demonstrating behaviours that support colleagues, improve processes and contribute positively to workplace culture.

Winners receive formal recognition, Amazon vouchers and eligibility for an annual ‘Values Champion’ award.
Within this framework, Hannah’s recognition reflects sustained contributions across multiple dimensions of the programme – particularly creativity in editorial development, nurturing in team support and wellbeing, and fairness in her commitment to inclusion and representation. ✈
