OMAN. Muscat Duty Free has appointed Aisha Al Habsi (pictured), a veteran of nearly 21 years with the travel retailer, as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Joining Muscat Duty Free – operated by Oman Sales & Services LLC – in 2005 as a Sales Colleague, Al Habsi most recently served as Chief People Officer.
She has progressed through the company performing a wide variety of senior sales, operations, training and human resources roles.
During Al Habsi’s time as Chief People Officer, a post she held for more than seven years, Muscat Duty Free achieved second place in the prestigious list of Best Workplaces Asia 2025.
Established in 2003, Muscat Duty Free is a 50/50 joint-venture company between Oman Air and Aer Rianta International Middle East (ARIME).
ARIME is the biggest international duty-free operator in the Middle East region, with business interests in Bahrain, Lebanon, Cyprus, Qatar, Egypt and Oman. ✈
