GERMANY. The Shopping Plaza at Frankfurt Airport is now complete following the addition of three new concepts: Three Frogs & A Crown, Rolling Luggage/Tie Rack and Le Pain Quotidien.
Located before the passport and security controls, The Shopping Plaza is Terminal 2’s first landside marketplace and is accessible to everyone. It is centrally situated right in the middle of T2 at the intersection of various passenger flows.
The new concepts join brands such as Boss/Tommy Hilfiger, Pilgrim, Virgin, Sunglasses by Pfendt Airport Optic and the Metropolitan Pharmacy, all of which opened this summer.
Le Pain Quotidien
Described as the centerpiece of the Shopping Plaza, Le Pain Quotidien is a Belgian food & beverage concept offering a variety of breads, cakes and other bakery products, as well as sandwiches, breakfast and snacks.
The brand now has 80 outlets operating in 13 countries, and will be managed by LPQ Deutschland at Frankfurt Airport.
The design of the space features light-colored natural wood flooring and large wooden tables and benches to create a “down-to-earth, pleasant atmosphere”. The spacious seating area extends far into the marketplace, enhanced by a long row of windows that provide a view of the Taunus Mountains.
