New travel retail offerings from Rémy Martin at Cannes – 10/09/2004

X.O Excellence
Rémy Martin parades its look of excellence

FRANCE. A new super premium fine champagne Cognac and revamped packaging for Rémy Martin VSOP will be on show at TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes next month.

The new Cognac, XO Excellence, will replace XO Spéciale in travel retail. The Cognac is described as a smooth velvety blend, 85% from Grande Champagne and 15% from Petite Champagne. It contains a combination of at least 300 eaux-de-vie, including the family’s private reserves, each aged between 10 and 37 years.

It comes in a glass decanter with cut glass face. Each decanter is individually numbered. The box is emblazoned with the Rémy Martin centaur and banded with a seal of quality, similar to that of the XO Premier Cru.

VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac
Cannes will also be the platform for the launch of the new-look VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac

The release of this Cognac will be supported by “high quality themed merchandising and a structured advertising campaign”.

The show will also be the platform for the launch of the new-look VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac. The VSOP is a blend of eaux-die-vie aged between four and 14 years.

The Cognac will soon be available in a slimmer bottle that comes in a red-and-black box with gold highlights.
